Paper Usage and Reduction of Waste

Initiatives for paperless operations

JACCS undertakes a wide range of initiatives aimed at reducing the volume of paper used in its business operations. These initiatives cover all levels, from society as a whole to the individual. Initiatives include the shift to paperless meeting materials and paperless customer proposals, double-sided photocopies, and always printing multiple slides or pages of a document on a single sheet. In the fiscal year ending March 31, 2024, as the Group works to further reduce its CO2 emissions, it is expanding and promoting the digitization of work flows that are paper-dependent. Specifically, the Company is carrying out such measures as promoting digitization of contracts and electronic signatures for contracts, and digitization of accounting operations and circulated management-approval requests, particularly centering on expense reimbursement. Through such measures, on a Companywide basis, JACCS aims to reduce the volume of printer and copier paper purchased by 3% in the fiscal year ending March 31, 2025, compared with the fiscal year ended March 31, 2022.
