The role of internal audit

Internal audit reinforces the internal control system while maintaining the soundness of business management. With the objective of raising the value of the JACCS Group, internal audit verifies the adequacy of risk management, control and corporate governance processes across the entire business at each of the JACCS Group’s business locations. Based on the results, internal audit makes proposals for improvements.

Management system for internal audit

The Company has established an Audit Office, which reports directly to the CEO, as an independent internal audit unit. The Audit Office conducts internal audits of the Company’s headquarters, area supervisory departments, sales offices, operations centers and subsidiaries, etc., based on the Company’s “Internal Audit Regulations,” and “Basic Policies on the Internal Control System,” etc. In addition, the Audit Office regularly reports to the Board of Directors and the Audit & Supervisory Board on the results of internal audits, and issues revealed within its the results of internal audit activities. Furthermore, the Audit Office organizes opportunities to exchange information with Audit & Supervisory Board members and the Accounting Auditor, etc., and undertakes initiatives aimed at enhancing the quality and effectiveness of internal audit on an ongoing basis, including through training programs and other efforts to develop human resources.
